Senior Management

Mohammed Khorshed Alam, a visionary banking professional, joined the service of United Commercial Bank PLC in 2008. Elevated in the status and capacity of Deputy Managing Director, Mr.  Khorshed Alam has been discharging the duties & responsibilities of the Bank as Head of Internal Audit of the Bank since 01.01.2017. Apart from this, Mr. Khorshed Alam is one of the Directors of ‘UCB Asset Management Limited’, a fully owned subsidiary of the Bank.

Before taking the new responsibility, Mr. Khorshed Alam served as Head of MD’s Secretariat and Supervisor/Cluster Head of 14 (fourteen) branches of Sylhet Division under “Cluster Management System” and also acted as Manager of different key Branches of the Bank. Being an active member of the Senior Management Team, he shouldered different significant roles in the arena of Banking Services.

Prior to joining UCB, Mr.  Khorshed Alam rendered services at Prime Bank Ltd. and also served in the Bangladesh Bank (The Central Bank of Bangladesh) in the different key roles since 2000 & left the Bank in 2007. Before that, he served in Agrani Bank, one of leading state-owned commercial Banks in the country as Senior Officer in 1998.

Mr. Khorshed Alam obtained MBA degree (Major in Finance) from the University of Dhaka and completed his Graduation & Post Graduation in Mathematics from the same University.   

He went through extensive training & workshops in the related field for the further professional excellences.
